Realizing that some “store bought” furniture do not fully compliment the building’s architecture due to inappropriate size, mass, or style we have recently begun to craft furnishings. We collaborate with Chris Lagos of Thayer Hopkins Architects in San Francisco on the design of each piece. Chris begins the process by studying the context and environment in which the furnishing will reside. Next, he completes the conceptual design(s) and reviews them with the architect and owner. Upon approval Chris will create a detailed set of working drawings for Matthew Rook of Tobiason+Rook Builders who handcrafts and finishes each piece.
